Hi, I’m Luana.
I am so pleased you decided to stop by. Pull up a chair and let me tell you a bit about myself.
I was introduced to plant medicine at an early age. I remember going out with my mother to collect herbs, and then come home and make medicine out of them. One of my favorites at the time was elecampane cough syrup. It is still one of my favorites to this day.
Growing up, I forgot about my herbal background and ate a lot of junk food, as most teenagers do. As I got older I developed some health problems. Over the years, I was prescribed several different medications, but they either didn’t help, or they gave me horrible side effects. After one medication almost killed me, I turned away from pharmaceuticals and went back to my herbal roots.
I took my first Reiki class in the late 90’s, and since have studied other energy healing modalities, including Reiki, Chios, Dowsing and Eden Energy Medicine.
In 2016, I completed a 3 year Master Herbalist certificate at the School of Natural Healing – founded by the late Dr. John R. Christopher in 1953. This is when my road to recovery really started. Afterwards, I completed several online courses under different herbalists such as Rosalee de la Foret, 7Song, Matthew Wood, Jim McDonald, Asia Suler and Sajah Popham.
In 2017, I enrolled in a 3 year program at the Northern Star College of Mystical Studies, where I studied under Herbal Elder, Robert Rogers and his wife Laurie Szott-Rogers. I have since received my Diploma in Integrative Therapies, specializing in “Earth Spirit Medicine” which included Herbology, Aromatherapy, Flower Essences, and Iridology. These therapies, as well as other therapies we did smaller classes on, were instrumental in my recovery.
I also studied under Dr. David Pesek and in 2020, received a Diploma of Holistic Iridology from the International Institute of Iridology.I like to learn from several different teachers, as they all have their own way of doing things, and this allows me to determine the best way possible to help both myself and any future clients.
I have taught workshops on different energy healing modalities, as well as herbal medicine making. I have also given brief talks on subjects such as the “medicinal properties of garden weeds”. Every summer, I like to take small groups of people out on walks, teach them how to identify local herbs and how to prepare and use them as food and medicine. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, and helping others to realize their goals and dreams.
I’m looking forward to helping you on your healing journey.
